Spotify and iTunes control for Truly can be managed in the Security and Privacy pane of Apple System Preferences
Click on in the upper left corner of your screen.
Click System Preferences
Click on Security and Privacy
Click on the Privacy tab at the top
Click on Automation on the left side
Check the box for System Events
Check the box for Spotify / Music
If these items are already checked, and Truly is still unable to control Spotify and/or iTunes, try the steps below:
Uncheck the Spotify / Music and System Events control permissions for Truly
Re-check the Spotify / Music and System Events control permissions for Truly
Quit Spotify / Music
Reopen Spotify / Music
Quit Truly
Reopen Truly
