Looking to send MMS or picture messages in the mobile app? 💬

Please have your administrator reach out to support to enable MMS for your organization if you don't currently have this feature.


Creating Group Messages in Truly Mobile

  1. Once in the Truly Mobile app, click on Messages

  2. Click on the New SMS icon in the upper right of this new window.

  3. Enter a number, tap Return on your keyboard, enter another number, repeat.

  4. Click ' New Message' at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Type message and hit Send.

*Note: manually entering a comma between each number will result in the following error when you attempt to send a message, “Error Please Enter A Valid Phone Number”.


Receiving Group Messages in Truly Mobile

Inbound messages will be threaded on the right side of the conversation window with the sender’s number appearing beneath the message received. Like direct inbound sms messages, inbound group messages will have a grey text bubble while outbound sms messages have a green text bubble.

*Note: Group messages from Google Voice and Straight Talk numbers do NOT come in as group messages, they come in as direct messages, in a separate conversations. This is a limitation coming from Google and Straight Talk.


Sending Picture Messages in Truly Mobile

  1. Once in the Truly Mobile app, click on Messages

  2. Click on the new SMS icon in the upper right of this new window, or click into an existing text message thread.

  3. Tap the ‘+’ icon in the bottom left, near your keyboard.

  4. Click 'Take Photo' or 'Choose From Library'.

  5. Select image.
    A preview of the image will appear

  6. Click 'New Message' at the bottom of the screen.

  7. Type message (optional) and hit Send.
