How to Setup E-mail Logging

Here we go through the steps for enabling and setting up e-mail logging! 📧

For all GSuite users, Truly may be integrated with Gmail to support email logging for external communications. With both Salesforce and Gmail integrated, Truly users may have Inbound (to the primary inbox) and outbound emails synced to SFDC as task objects (activities).

*Note: This feature is not currently supported for Microsoft365.

Step One: Integration Settings | Salesforce

  1. Log into the desktop

  2. Click Settings > Integrations

  3. Click ‘Connect’ within the Salesforce section

  4. Enter credentials to complete integration

  5. Within the desktop app, toggle ‘Automatically sync calls to Salesforce’ to On

** If you're already integrated with SFDC, all you have to do is make sure your switch is toggled!

*** This is required for emails to sync

Step Two: Integration Settings | Gmail

  1. While logged into the desktop with Google Oauth

  2. Click Settings > Integrations

  3. Click ‘Connect’ within the Gmail section

  4. Select the account to sync to

  5. Click Allow on the permissions box that pops up
