Recording Storage Policy

Truly is one of the only voice providers who does not charge extra for recording data storage. Unfortunately, our recording storage costs have added up over the past few years with many customers entering their 5th year with us!

In order to keep our costs possible (and not have to pass it through to customers), we've created this policy regarding how unused phone numbers are handled.

Default Policy

By default, all accounts will have their data retention policies capped at 1 year.

For any customers who have been with Truly for over 1 year as of 12/17/2021, they may request a one-time extension to have their retention period extended to two years free of charge for an extra year.

Paid Upgrade

If you wish to store your data over a longer period, you can opt into a contract amendment whereby you will accept the additional costs incurred by Truly for unused numbers, which will be added to the invoice in your next 'True Up' period.
