For Truly Customers

Truly is fully compliant with the latest industry implementation of STIR/SHAKEN, which ensures that any calls made with a number that you own are digitally signed and validated to belong to you.

However, sometimes a malicious actor (eg: robodialer) may randomly choose one of the numbers you own in an attempt to spoof call another individual.

If these are reported to the authorities, we may be served with a subpoena to relinquish records to a court regarding the details of a number's usage. Furthermore, we may be instructed not to disclose to your that this happened. As per our Terms of Service, we are required to comply with the law in jurisdictions within which we operate... this means that details (usually just call records of time/from-number/to-number combinations) may be shared without your explicit knowledge or approval

For Law Enforcement

Law enforcement professionals may submit a subpoena to support@truly.co detailing the nature of their request.

Almost always, these requests are invalid and regarding a number that is/was owned by us but never used by a customer (it was spoofed by a third party). If this is the case, we will inform you of that fact.

Unless the subpoena specifies the need for confidentiality, the customer in question will be alerted to the fact that their records are being shared along with the subpoena and be given 14 days to take any legal action they deem appropriate.

If the number was used by a customer of ours, we will evaluate the validity of the subpoena and then ask you to pay an administrative fee of $50 for each phone number for which a record request is being made. We ask for up to a week to process your request.
