Regulatory Requirements

Regulatory requirements are constantly changing in each country. As such, we are unable to keep a public resource up to date with requirements for number provisioning.

To get information regarding what it takes to provision a number in a specific region, please open a support ticket and the reps will get you the most up to date information regarding regulatory requirements.

Regulatory FAQs

{{Other Provider}} isn't requiring me to do this regulatory stuff, why are you?

We've been at this a few years, and have found that although providers vary in the level of regulatory enforcement that they require (making it tempting to work with them), as they scale they always start adding requirements.

This creates creates a predictability issue for you and us -- numbers come online and you don't know if/when they will have to be deactivated by the provider for compliance, and you also don't know what compliance requirements will be imposed. Indeed, those providers may not allow number porting because they are leasing those numbers through a third party. There is no way to know.

In this way, we heavily favor predictability and quality over all other factors.
