Installing Truly Mobile

  • Download and install Truly Mobile via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

  • After the installation is complete, open the Truly Mobile app.

  • Sign in to your Truly account.

Number Verification

  • Once you're signed in on the Truly mobile app, you’ll be required to complete the 'Number Verification' process.

  • Enter your iPhone or Android phone's mobile number. This is necessary to integrate mobile phone calling with Truly. (Enter your cellular number on this step. Do not enter your Truly number.)

  • Tap “Request Code” (iOS) or "Verify Phone Number" (Android) and enter the code received via text to complete the process.

  • Once completed, this will allow Truly to use your mobile carrier for inbound and outbound calls.

Note: If the mobile number needs to be changed, Number Verification can also be found in the Truly mobile app by tapping the Settings gear icon, and then tapping the Verify Your Number section.

Navigating the App

Calls: Calls list will show all inbound and outbound calls. Calls will be badged an indicator showing inbound or outbound, and answered or missed/voicemail.

Contacts: Contacts shows a list of your contacts, including your company directory, and those stored in your Google or O365 account.

Messages: Messages list will show all inbound and outbound SMS/text messages. If a message is prompted within a call, the message will automatically thread into the existing conversation.

Settings: Settings displays account details (name, email, and all assigned numbers) and important mobile settings.

Important Mobile Settings

You’ll want to take a moment and setup Call Routing and make sure you understand the significance of Carrier Integration.

Call Routing: From here, you can change your Outbound Caller ID used by the Truly Mobile app (these are your assigned Truly numbers/extensions or Local Presence). You can also toggle to route calls to the following devices: Mobile, Desktop, and/or Desk Phone.

Carrier Integration: "Verify your Number" is the process that allows you to change the mobile number/carrier that Truly uses for your in/outbound mobile dials. We'll want to make sure this is your current, active, personal mobile number.

Email Us: This opens your mobile mail client and sends Truly support your mobile app logs for use in troubleshooting. You can also always use this option to reach out to Truly support directly and we'll be there to help!

FAQ

Should I be concerned about calling/getting calls after hours?
Not at all. While you can manage your availability actively, the mobile app automatically pulls in your availability and it’s impossible to pocket dial a customer, as we fully separate your work calling data from your native app.

Will my personal calls be recorded?
Impossible! Only calls made from the Truly app can be recorded or tracked.

Will missed calls hear my personal voicemail?
If carrier integration is activated, not a chance! Callers will receive the greeting/voicemail associated with the truly number they’ve dialed.

Why do I have to "press 1 to accept"?
This is our Routing Protection feature, and is automatically enabled. Essentially prevents work calls from going to your personal voicemail. You may choose to deactivate this at a company level (not recommended), but doing so means that in the event that you decline a call or lose service, calls to your Truly number will be forwarded to your personal voicemail rather than your Truly voicemail.

Will my CRMs integrate with the mobile app?
Absolutely! Salesforce and Zendesk integrations are available just as on the web and desktop app. You may assign dispositions and add/update notes directly from Truly Mobile and those details will sync to your CRM.

Will the mobile app use my minutes?
Yes, and the goal here is to maximize call quality and reliability.

Will the mobile app use my data?
No! Truly mobile will not use any data from your carrier.
