How to set up and verify your headset in macOS 🎧

  1. Plug your headset into your computer. If it's a wireless headset, plug the base into your computer and ensure that your headset has been charged.

  2. If you're using a wireless headset, turn it on.

  3. Click the  in the top left corner of your screen.

  4. Click "System Preferences".

  5. Click "Sound".

  6. Click the "Output" tab in the middle of the window.

  7. Make sure your headset has been selected and is highlighted. 

  8. Click the "Input" tab in the middle of the window.

  9. Make sure your headset has been selected and is highlighted. 

  10. Test your input by speaking into the microphone. You should see the input level rise and fall, as shown in second screenshot.
