Due to security features in macOS, extra steps may be needed to allow microphone access for Truly. If you have macOS Mojave 10.14 or later and are having issues with other people being able to hear you through the desktop app, follow the steps below to check the security settings on your Mac.

  1. Click on the  in the upper left part of your screen.

  2. Click on "System Preferences"

  3. Click on "Security & Privacy"

  4. Click on the "Privacy" tab at the top.

  5. Select "Microphone" from the left hand side.

  6. Make sure that there is a check box next to "Truly" on the right hand side of the page. (to make changes, you will need to unlock the lock icon in the lower left with your computer's administrative password)

  7. Go back to Truly and close (Truly > Quit) and reopen the app.

If you have any additional questions or issues please chat with the Truly support team by clicking your initials in the upper right corner of the desktop app, or email support@truly.co, and we’ll be happy to assist!
