This article will go over accepting your Truly invite and getting set up on Truly desktop for the first time!

Step 1: Account Setup

  • Once you receive your invite email from your Truly administrator, click on 'Sign Up' to start the account creation and onboarding process

  • If your company has auto-invite set up, navigate to truly.co and click Log In to start this process.

  • Once selecting your company email provider (Google or Microsoft), you'll be able to fill out primary information about yourself.

  • On the next screen is where you'll select or 'roll' for your direct Truly number! This is the number that people will be able to call and text you on. You're welcome to select a particular area code if you'd like as well. (note: if your administrator has already assigned you a number, you will not see this screen.)

  • If we don't have an area available for you, reach out to your administrator or support@truly.co for assistance.

  • Your account is now created! From here, the onboarding wizard will assist in providing install links to our click-to-call Chrome extension, desktop app, and mobile app.

Once you've downloaded our desktop app, mobile app, and chrome extension, you're ready to take our app for a spin!

Step 2: Logging into the desktop application

  • Enter your work email credentials by clicking on 'Login with Google' or 'Login with Office 365', depending on your organization's email provider.

  • Use the 'Email' and 'Password' fields on the main log in page only if you have received 'Truly' credentials from your manager or our support team.

General Settings

Voicemail

  • Record a new voicemail greeting or upload an existing .wav file.

Audio

  • Select your proper audio device next to Microphone and Speaker. Make sure you're able to hear our 'Play Test Sound' test notification and that the bars next to your microphone selection ebb and flow. This indicates Truly is detecting your voice properly!

  • You can also toggle Pager Mode on or off from this page. Pager Mode allows incoming calls to ring to all of the available speakers - not just your selected output device.

  • For more information on audio settings, visit our help center article.

Routing

  • Toggle the devices you'd like to receive inbound calls on: Desktop, Truly Mobile, or Desk Phone. (note: Contact your Truly administrator for information on how to set up a desk phone.)

Integrations

  • Salesforce: Click connect and login using your Salesforce domain and credentials. Make sure that Automatically sync calls is toggled on. We also recommend setting "Mark activities as complete" to "Always"! (note: for more information on Salesforce sync, see our Salesforce integration help center.)

  • Zendesk: Enter your Zendesk subdomain, then click "Connect" to log in with your Zendesk credentials. Make sure that Automatically sync calls is toggled on. (note: for more information on Zendesk sync, see our Zendesk integration help center.)

Voicemail Drop

Availability

  • Set your Timezone and click and drag in your desired scheduled time. Inbound calls received outside of this schedule will go directly to voicemail.

  • Set whether you'd like to Accept Inbound Calls or Accept Phone Menu Calls.

Outbound caller ID

  • In the upper right, next to your initials, you'll have the ability to select and change your outbound caller ID. This can be set to your assigned Truly number(s) or your company phone menus. Once selected, this will be your outbound caller ID for any new conversations created.

  • For more information on changing your outbound caller ID, view our help center article.

Outbound call device

  • In the same dropdown as the outbound caller ID selection, click on the 'Device' tab to select which device you'd like to start outbound calls on. Desktop, Truly Mobile, or Desk Phone. You'll see explanations under each option shown in the screenshot below.

  • For more information on changing your outbound call device, see our help center article.

Make a test call

  • Once your audio device and the proper outbound device are set, click on +New Conversation in the upper left. Type or paste in the number you'd like to make the test call to and press the Phone icon to start your first Truly call!

Step 3: Truly Mobile

  • From here, we recommend checking out our 'How to set up Truly Mobile' help center article to get set up with our mobile application to have Truly on the go!
